Suitland Continues Win Streak vs Bowie

In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, Suitland High School extended their winning streak to six games by defeating Bowie High School with a final score of 30-14. This victory showcased the exceptional talents of several key players on the Suitland Rams football team.

 

Quarterback Dehron Johnson emerged as a true dual-threat player, making an impact both on offense and defense. On offense, Johnson showcased his running abilities, amassing an impressive 194 rushing yards and scoring two crucial touchdowns on 16 carries. This demonstrates his exceptional athleticism and ability to find openings in the opposing defense. However, Johnson's contributions didn't end there. On the defensive side of the ball, he displayed his versatility with nine tackles and a crucial fumble recovery. His performance was undoubtedly instrumental in the team's victory.

 

Linebacker Daniel Atsou also had a standout game, making his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball. Atsou tallied an impressive 11 tackles, with 2 of them resulting in tackles for loss (TFL). He further displayed his versatility by contributing on offense, bringing in 2 receptions for 20 yards.

 

Adding to the excitement was Corey Banks, who made a significant impact with a pick-6, seizing the opportunity to extend Suitland's lead and put more points on the board.

 

Cameron Tolbert rounded out the exceptional performances by contributing to the offensive success. He carried the ball three times, totaling an impressive 97 yards, and scoring two touchdowns. His ability to break free for long runs was a crucial element in the Rams' offense.
